Jim LaValle is an educator, clinician, and industry consultant in the field of integrative health care. He is a licensed pharmacist (University of Cincinnati College of Pharmacy), board certified clinical nutritionist (International & American Associations of Clinical Nutritionists, (IAACN), Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine (Central States College of Health Sciences), Diplomat in Homeopathic Pharmacy and Medicine (British Institute of Homeopathy with more than 20 years clinical practice experience in the field of natural and integrative therapeutics and functional metabolism.
Jim serves as an adjunct associate professor in the college of pharmacy in the division of pharmacy practice at The University of Cincinnati and serves as a preceptor in the Department of Family Medicine, University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, and is a faculty instructor in The Clinical Nutrition program at New York State Chiropractic College. Jim served on the scientific advisory board for the Dietary Supplement Education Alliance, and was a founding board member for the Dietary Supplement Information Bureau. He also serves on the Scientific Council for certification board of the International and American Associations of Clinical Nutritionists. He is also on the advisory board for Douglas Laboratories, Xymogen, and Bayer. Jim was the nutrition expert on “Bodyshaping” the number one fitness show on ESPN. He has written 14 books, has had over 150 articles published, and was also the principle author of two searchable databases on natural medicine and drug induced nutrient depletion. He is a nationally known personality with over 400 radio shows and T.V. spots to his credit. Founder of the LaValle Metabolic Institute, Jim LaValle is an educator, clinician, and industry consultant in the field of integrative health care. Jim is also the founder of Integrative Health Resources, Inc ., which provides consulting on technology and produce development to health related industries, and developing training and educational initiatives through various media. Jim has trained 1000’s of health care professionals on integrating natural therapies into clinical practice. His consulting clients have included CVS pharmacies, Rite Aid, Cardinal Health, McKesson, Long’s Drug Chains, Professional Compounding Centers of America where he has been involved in all aspects of the industry from media and product development to quality control. Jim is currently in clinical practice at the LaValle Metabolic Institute , a comprehensive wellness, prevention, and early detection center, which he founded. The LaValle Metabolic Institute is one of the first programs to incorporate natural therapeutics with comprehensive interdisciplinary approach including M.D.'s, Pharmacist, Dieticians, Acupuncturist, Nurses, Fitness and other allied health care professionals. The Institute customizes integrative therapeutic programs for prevention, wellness, athletes as well as for individuals with various disease states and health challenges.
